Authentic, delicious and friendly service Had a very late lunch here on a Thursday afternoon. Service was ace - could mix and match tacquitos. Mushroom vegan one was probably the best mushroom we've ever had. Would definitely recommend for a quick bite or light lunch.

Delicious ! These tacos were the best I've had (even better than ones from Mexico) and the owner was super friendly and welcoming. The carrot tacos were a surprisingly good treat, too. And the homemade vegan horchata. Plus, it was very affordable. I shall certainly be back. Everyone needs to check out this place.

A friend invited us for tacos and now we can't stop talking about it! A friend took us to Casa Azul and it was amazing, fabulous atmosphere, delicious food delivered quickly. Even my very picky son ate everything and loved it. Lots of choice, loved the table layout, super sociable and we left with a huge smile

Yumtastic! I am so grateful this place exists. As a Mexican in Brighton, it's great to finally be able to get real Mexican food. They have great vegan options. The owner Gabriel is super friendly and caring and so is the rest of his staff. The people that come here are usually just as friendly and you can always find someone to have a nice chat with. I highly recommend if you are craving Mexican food or would like to know what actual Mexican food tastes like.

The best Mexican food in Brighton! I've been here with meat-eaters and vegans and we all love it. Their menu and their very friendly service make everyone happy. The food is extremely flavourful, and pricing is reasonable. I was really craving some Mexican food and this place did not let me down!

Heart & soul of Mexican cuisine at excellent prices One of the hardest things about living abroad as a Mexican is the constant search for authenticity when looking for a good, hearty Mexican meal. And it's not that other fusion restaurants lack creativity or flavour, but sometimes you just yearn that special seasoning; the rice, the refried beans, the pickled onions atop your taco, the selection of salsas (should you go for the really spicy one today? The sweat on your upper lip confirms this was the right choice), the agua de horchata or the fruit Boing drink that you can pluck straight from the fridge. You're searching for that combination of flavours that bring back memories of eating at your auntie's on a Sunday afternoon, with all your cousins piling together at the long dining room table, ready to eat. CasaAzul brings together the familiarity of these key traditional flavours, adding its own twist to accommodate a vegan palate, including oyster mushroom/vegetable tacos that substitute meats like cochinita pibil and chicken tinga, and introducing to us their house recipe of the nutty, spicy Salsa Macha (this one I have bought from their retail and have been experimenting with at home). I have eaten literally everything in this menu - vegan and non-vegan - and have reached the conclusion that every dish is as delicious as the next. You can take my word for it, or you can taste for yourself! The menu is great for gluten-free eaters since it is a maize and rice-based cuisine. And, over everything - as delicious as this food is - I would have to say that my favourite thing about CasaAzul is the staff. They will welcome you with open arms, as a paisano or a "tourist", and delightedly guide you through their dishes. Much like going to your auntie's on a Sunday afternoon, they will make sure you're well-fed and satisfied before you leave. As we say in Mexico, "a barriga llena, corazón contento" ("with bellies full, a happy heart").
